Bender Cove Township Scenario
Characters
Note: This page was originally in purely alphabetical order but during its time on Geocities was broken up into 3 parts. For best results, use your browser's find feature to locate the name of the character you want. The plan is to ultimately transfer this to a database for ease of lookup.
Aiesha Farris: A baby, the daughter of Alea and Tarsh.
Alea Farris ambrov Zeor: A high level Donor with a tendency toward absentmindedness and a regrettable clumsy streak, Alea is no longer trusted with boiling water or hammers by any Sime who knows her well. After being revealed as a spy for Zeor, Alea vowed never to participate in such missions again. Recently celebrated with Tarsh the birth of their daughter Aiesha.
Aleiaa ambrov R'Lea: A Donor and, unbeknownst to anybody, the true love of the Sectuib in Zeor as well as mother of his unborn heir. Was supposedly safe in hiding at the Bender Cove Sime Center, but was discovered there by K'Lana and murdered.
Arcadia: A 2nd order Donor new to the Sime Center. Arcadia would seem to be obssessed with, and addicted to, certain books of a romantic and possibly erotic nature, which have a powerful effect on her. In public. Arcadia received bad marks from Jirelle when assigned to that channel. Fared somewhat better with Mostan. Currently assigned to Darrel.
B'Cal ambrov V'Lar: Variously described as "An Elegant Dragon Lady", "That Woman", and the "Donor from Hell", this very intimidating (and blunt!) high order Donor was at one point Wise Snake's assigned Donor. Not particularly glad to be there, B'Cal didn't care who or what she trampled on her grim mission to whip "that Farris Screw Up" into shape. After being kidnaped for ransom, forced to murder several would-be killers, and finally left to drown, B'Cal reappeared, prepared to fix Wise Snake's problems or else. B'cal has since gone home to her Householding.
Bosis: A desk clerk at the Sime Center.
Brie: Jon Drake's nickname for Briel.
Briael ambrov R'lea: A disjunct channel. Co-controller, with Veraik, of the Bender Cove lowertown Sime Center. Simelan spelling of Briel.
Briael: See Briel
BumBum: A rogue 3rd Order channel operating in Bender Cove. Described by Wise Snake as a "sleazebag". Recently drafted by her as an employee. His real name, which is rarely used but which he evidently strongly prefers, is Bumanuel Altavista.
Callin: A Gen Territory high school student whose research into her school newspaper's Faith Day article was interrupted by her colleague Nemip's untimely changeover.
Darrel: A 2nd Order Channel employed by the Sime Center. Currently assigned to Arcadia.
D'cor ambrov V'lar: A Second Order channel assigned to the Sime Center(V'lar used with permission by Cheryl Wolverton).
DLaura: A Gen who Wise Snake encountered, who claims to have been employed by Tramila during a campaign by that entity to intentionally wreck the careers of First Order channels who were not Distect sympathetic. Her rumors were never confirmed and she has not been seen since.
Dolores Jergen: A very talkative Gen; a GN-1 and a regular donor. A nice old lady but she never quite seems to get Veraik's name right.
Drake: See Jon Drake
Fise Leewin: see Fise Lendis.
Fise Lendis: There is just something kind of odd about this 3rd Order channel briefly employed by the Center. (Originally his last name was "Leewin", but it mutated over the episodes.) Whatever else can be said about him, he definitely hadn't planned on being a channel. Fise is currently AWOL after a series of disturbing incidents at the Sime Center. He is currently working for Wise Snake at the Eastcove General Hospital. He has been experimentally paired with Loylic.
Garon: A garishly dressed pimp. Has been known to work for Wise Snake.
Gnome: A seemingly ordinary garden ornament, this object seems to be the focus of an abnormally large number of hallucinations and/or paranormal experiences on the part of various Sime Center staff. Currently painted in bright stripes, courtesy of someone who shall remain forever named Alea.
Griff Gussleson: A young OT Gen who relishes "ooky stuff". Pleb's brother. Was hired by Wise Snake to train as an assistant for BumBum.
Inarm: See Anna Inarm.
Ison ambrov Naros: A channel recently assigned to the Sime Center.
Janus: A changeover victim found by Richard, who brought her to Wise Snake. The young Sime was later taken to the Sime Center.
Jelana: A 3rd Order Donor employed by the Sime Center.
Jergen: See Dolores Jergen
Jergens: See Dolores Jergen
Jirelle: A young 2nd Order channel on her first assigment out of channel's school. She shows a predeliction for candles, incense, prayer and meditation, and apparently had heard some really wild rumors about the Center prior to her arrival there. Jirelle has the unusual characteristic of being really nice to literally everybody.
Jon Drake: A Gen with natural Donor potential, whose selyn production skyrocketed after his second donation. He decided to abandon his life as a dockyard and construction laborer and enter into Donor training at the Sime Center. He has since received training in the capital as well. Was recently revealed to be genetically a Tigue.
Jor-El: A donor who showed Donor potential and later began Donor training, sort of unexpectedly.
Jorgre: A Second Order channel employed by the Sime
Center.
Jules: A Distect renSime who was treated at the Sime
Center after her Gen died. Still injured, she escaped and was rescued by
Piotr Rava. She was recaptured by the
Tecton, along with Piotr, but the two were later released upon the promise
that they would never enter Bender Cove again.
Jules Distect: See Jules
Kadi: A red striped kitten belonging to Alea. This is also the name of a
famous Gen, Companion to Rimon Farris in the published novel First
Channel by Jean Lorrah and Jacqueline Lichtenberg.
Kat: A nickname for Katryn.
Katryn: A low order channel new to the Sime Center, who worships Farrises.
Kaymeil ambrov Dar: A 1st Order channel who worked at the Sime Center for a while before being reassigned.
Keli: A 2nd Order Donor employed by the Sime Center. Apparently regularly serves post assignments with the male channels. She began the story as a regular Gen but eventually received Donor training.
Kitchen Witch: Another creature of the Gnome's ilk. This one has never been known to speak directly to people.
KlanaSime, K'lanaSime: See K'Lana Farris
K'Lana Farris: A spy bent on destroying Zeor from within, K'Lana discovered and murdered Aleiaa, but at the cost of her own life.
Klyd Farris: A famous channel from the published novel House of Zeor by Jacqueline Lichtenberg. This story post-dates his era slightly. He is occasionally mentioned in play.
Lila ambrov R'lea: A Second Order Donor assigned to the Sime Center.
Lin: See Linn Haskins
Linn Haskall: see Linn Haskins
Linn Haskins: A Gen, formerly a teacher at an out-Territory school for young children. She came to the Center requesting brochures. Wise Snake blackmailed her into donating in exchange for information on kids who cross the border to get into trouble in Bender Cove. Later became a housemate of Snake's when the channel saved her life after a gang beating. Linn is currently living alone in Bender Cove, and working.
Lowren J-*: A young Gen from the town of Hamish, out-Territory, who was disowned by his father after trying to help his brother survive changeover. Donated once and then returned a week later for healing from injuries sustained while hanging out with Vit and company. Wise Snake arranged for Lowren to be taken under the wing of Hel`o. Eventually hooked up with his renSime friend Parnul, who gave him a job.
Loy: An occasonal nickname for Loylic used by Fise.
Loylic: A Gen of appalling laziness and lack of hygiene; also a natural 3rd Order Donor. Hired to work with Fise until Wise Snake can find Fise someone better.
Mostan: A Third Order channel who didn't realize he was anything other than a renSime, Mostan was the ringleader of the transfer ring Tarsh once belonged to. Now employed by the Sime Center and learning channel's duties. Mostan currently has a fear of Gens brought on by an injurious attack by Avaleia.
Muryin Farris ambrov Zeor: A famous channel and Sectuib in Zeor who is the creation of Jacqueline Lichtenberg but has not yet appeared in one of the published novels. She recently made a pass through Bender Cove inspecting the Center and delivering gifts to a newborn Farris baby.
Nick Reckage: A Gen being trained as a Donor by and for Wise Snake. Recently was finally qualified by Briel.
Ola: An elderly female Gen and the grandmother of Bess. Wise Snake healed Ola's angina and talked her into making a donation on the grounds that it would teach Bess responsibility. Ola later took on the injured Alice as a boarder, and the OT child Rudy as well.
Parnul Redan: A renSime in the import/export business, and a resident of Bender Cove Township. Born out-Territory in the town of Hamish, Parnul came to the Center after learning his childhood friend Lowren was in the area. Parnul was seriously injured when he and JonDrake were mugged on the street. After recovering, Parnul gave Lowren a job.
Patrice: A Donor new to the Sime Center.
Paulatino: A 2nd order Donor assigned to Veraik when there wasn't anybody else available. He ended up not being allowed to give the transfer.
Piotr Rava: A gypsy and the last of his clan after they were murdered by a band of junct raiders. Possessed of incredible, nearly superhuman control of his nager, Piotr has perverted his natural talent into a tool for revenge against junct renSimes. Any junct renSimes. Was last seen leaving town in the company of Jules Distect.
Rapol: One of Wise Snake's two Donors. Born in a small Norwestern community founded by displaced Licensed Raiders and the Gens from their final raid, Rapol was raised to believe that his purpose in life was to serve a Sime.
Rattius: A rat living in the Ferry Building.
Ruyovan: A sexy looking guy who works at the Sime Center.

Semla ambrov Taglar: A Gen woman who works in the bursar's office at the Sime Center.
Simone del Milan Farris ambrov Zeor: A powerful, in-demand Donor specializing in problem Farrises, Simone's pattern is to work elsewhere and to arrive in town hours or even minutes before the assigned transfer. Simone has evidently fallen into disfavor with certain influential people recently, as witness the large number of ordinary channels he has been assigned to in the last months.
Sky: Wise Snake's half-brother. He was 10 when their mother died during Snake's birth. He cared for Snake until she was old enough to run wild. His wife is Ceresia. He is currently living at the Ferry Building, employed by Snake as a bookkeeper.
Smitty Roach: A flamboyant, rhyming rogue of a cockroach who lived in the Sime Center. Recently deceased.
Smitty II: Possibly a son of Smitty Roach.
Snake: A widely used nickname for Wise Snake.
Snow Raven: Like the white wolf, this creature is believed by Alea to be associated with Fawviah the witch. Unlike the wolf, however, this creature can be seen by people other than Alea.
Tamlen Bobers: An older First Order Donor who remembers the first Faith Day, having served in the military during the war that led to Unity.
Tarsh Chutmas: A renSime employed at the Center. Tarsh is highly devoted to the Tecton rules and regulations (and their occasional breakage). Tarsh is not junct although he has had direct Gen transfer and recently has had a good deal of difficulty with being attracted to Gens while in need. Alea's lover and probably the father of the baby that miscarried.
Toi Toi: Wise Snake's receptionist.
Tormer: A Gen and the Chief of Bender Cove's Police Department. Currently out of favor with most Sime Center staff because of a rampage in which he and his goons nearly destroyed the Center performing a "Police Inspection". Wise Snake's police contact.
Tramalia: A misspelling of Tramila.
Tramila Farris: A channel affiliated with Zeor and the Tecton, Tramila is regularly, although not always, assigned to our Sime Center. Tramila was Wise Snake's mentor at Zeor and responsible for Snake's disastrous First Transfer. The two have not been close since. Her most recent assignment to the Center was to care for the then-pregnant Alea.
Veraik ambrov Liorie: The channel who is the Controller of the Sime Center in our story. Previously employed at a larger Sime Center uptown, Veraik was directly responsible for the existence of our story's Center. He was (is) in love with Alea Farris ambrov Zeor but she rejected him. In addtion, Veraik is a channel who desparately wants to join Householding Zeor. To this goal, he has been studying the Zeor Channel's techniques to help ease the pain of entran. Unfortunately, a channel must zlin the techniques to truly understand them and therefore Veraik usually makes his entran worst instead of better. Also, he tends to take care of the Controller's paperwork instead of working as a functional channel and thus staving off entran. For this, he has been in trouble many times.
Verat: A mispronounciation (by Miz Jergen) of Veraik.
Wise: Tramila's nickname for Wise Snake.
Wise Snake: A very young Farris channel who found a niche in Bender Cove's black market after being ousted from Zeor. Against all odds she has survived to the end of First Year... physically. Her sanity is another story. Now that basic survival appears to be assured, Wise Snake is looking ahead to other goals, including buying and restoring a centuries-old Ferry Building, founding a Householding, and eventual world domination.
World Controller: The most powerfully positioned channel in the Tecton. Not
used in play, but occasionally mentioned.
Agness Forrest: A Gen, evidently related to
Forrest. Interested in history and/or
architecture.
Agnis Forrest: See Agness Forrest
Alan Bowman: Frieda's father. An Eastcove businessman.
Alice: A Gen, who was Linn's teaching assistant and was a Simephobe even before being attacked and nearly killed by Tarra. Was nursed back to a semblence of health by Ola. Now living in Halim's Glen, Gen Territory. (Also, a character in a book entitled Alice's Adventures in the Land of Zo.)
Andirel: The quintessential clueless donor, Andirel first attempted to donate when he was already low field, then asked if he could come back the next day and donate just the one day's accumulation of selyn. Has a tendency to hit his head on doorways. Now employed by the Sime Center as a janitor.
Anel Renteni: A well-to-do renSime who discovered that conditions at the Sime Center were "unacceptable".
Anna Inarm: A one-armed Gen saleswoman.
* Arcadia: A 2nd order Donor new to the Sime Center.
Avaleia: A seemingly harmless Gen who entered the Sime
Center with some kind of evangelical message of hope, but ended up going
stark raving mad and physically attacking
Tarsh. After being treated for injuries
Avaleia was turned over to the local authorities. Since then she has been
released, has attacked the Sime Center employees, and been recaptured, several
times. Currently being seen by a doctor in Gen Territory who completely agrees
with her point of view with regards to Simes.
Bitsy Forrest: A Gen, and a member of the Young
Anti-Tectonists League. Her father is Forrest. She
threw bricks in Linn's window and led
a gang who beat Linn nearly to death. Was one of four Young Anti-Tectonists
kidnaped and imprisoned by Wise Snake
after the beating of Linn.
BugLumps: A Gen drug dealer operating out of a tattoo parlor behind Stickie's bar in the Dockside district. A business acquaintance of Wise Snake's.

in First Need and was served by Briel

but doing so with no difficulty whatsoever.
Eliza Furdens: A young out-Territory Gen who murdered
her father and served her cousin John
in First Need, Eliza was for some time in training at the Sime Center. Later
she left to work for Wise Snake.
She has great potential but still has quite a bit to learn, particularly
in the area of self-control.
Eliza Leahy: The name Eliza Furdens gave for herself when she first came to the Sime Center. It is not clear whether this, or Furdens, is her actual last name.
Enry ambrov F'jord: Sectuib in F'jord and uncle of Sumulo. This is a character from Cherri Muñoz' fan fiction piece My Life is my Own and used here by permission of the author.

called in to rid the Sime Center of rats and cockroaches. He went about his
task with great gusto.

Frutata Yobanga: A foreign high-order Donor rescued by the Center. He is working there part time until he is recovered enough to return to his native land. Currently assigned to Briel.

Wise Snake to train as an assistant
for BumBum.

to be the one picked to go to the Sime
Center when Alea ordered the locks
redone. Left in a huff after an... accident occurred.
Melvin Garbage: Tarsh's variation on Melvin Gardens' name.
Melvin Gardens: An infamous renSime, sleazy seeker of
Gen transfers, and former associate of
Tarsh's. Melvin seduced and badly burned
the naive Bess at Fast Eddie's. Eventually

Rache: A 2nd Order Donor who has, at times, been assigned to the Sime Center.
Rafael Domingus Farris de la Fuente en Carmen ambrov Zeor: A 4+ Donor who is ambrov Zeor but employed by the Tecton in its sprawl onto the Southern Continent. Was assigned to Wise Snake for two months and gave her one transfer during that time. He was actually in Bender Cove to perform an undercover investigation for the Tecton, the nature of which has not been revealed. Wise Snake learned this when she caught him speaking English to a contact; he had previously pretended, rather believeably, to know only Spanish.

This is a character from Cherri Muñoz' fan fiction piece My Life is my Own and is used with permission. T, Mrs. & Mrs.: See Tengstun, Mr. & Mrs.
Tengstun, Mr. & Mrs.:
A pair of out-Territory Gens who were banned from the Sime Center (and if
Veraik has his way, from ALL Sime Centers)
after Mrs. Tengstun nearly killed Veraik during a donation. The Tengstuns
were adapted from a scene cut from the unfinished fan fiction story "Undertow",
with permission of author Kaas Baichtal.

to the Sime Center from
