Academy, The: Evidently, a rich kids' school just outside of Bender Cove.

Ahlvastin, Householding: A Householding.

Always Ready Contractor: A painters Veraik called in on an emergency basis to repaint portions of the Sime Center's interior.

Amalgamated Fisheries: A large building on a pier, consisting of a few offices and a huge production floor on which hundreds of wage-slaves crowded into filthy conditions work at gutting and beheading freshly caught fish.

B Street: The main drag of the rebuilt Porno District.

Ba Ha Meh Ee Co: A region near the Southern end of the Northern continent.

Bay, the: Bender Cove is situated along a larger bay which is on the far southern extreme of the Greater Lake.

Bayview: The nearest major cross street to the Ferry Building.

Bender Cove: The city our story takes place in. Also, the cove for which it is named. Bender Cove is a large city of perhaps 400,000 people. It has both excellent and terrible areas, the latter being the part of town nearest the docks. This town only became part of Sime Territory in the last couple or three decades and still maintains a very high population of Gens (approximately 90%). Its economy is mixed, with fishing and commercial shipping (both water and overland) playing large roles. It is located on the border with Gen Territory.

Bender Cove Public Library: When unspecified, this usually refers to the branch located in the lower city, a large edifice of the same architecture and vintage as the Ferry Building.

Bender Cove Regional Homeless Shelter: A homeless shelter in Bender Cove.

Bender Cove Township: An area including the city of Bender Cove and much of the surrounding woods and farmlands.

Bertha's Kitty Botique: A pet goods store located in Eastcove. Owned by Bertha.

Betthunie's House O' Pancakes: A restaurant and bakery in the Dockside district.

Bin: A town in Norwest Territory, through which Alea has travelled at least once.

Blue Door Clinic: Evidently, a clinic in Bender Cove which also offers counseling.

Blueton Street: Location of the Uptown Police Station.

Bock Harbor: A harbor in the city of Bender Cove. The repository for various abandoned vessels upon which the homeless have been known to dwell.

Bo Ra Bo Ra: An exotic, far off land.

Bounty Street: A street in Bender Cove.

Braker, Sirlan, Hammosh and Kremp, Attorneys: A Gen Territory based law firm.

Broad Street: A street in Bender Cove, presumably near the waterfront.

Brastic Street: A street in Bender Cove, at the edge of the Warehouse District.

Bugle Street Cafe: A cafe in Bender Cove, evidently in a nice part of town.

Buxumhouse, The: An establishment of ill repute, owned by Taffyd Bollockshire.

Canal: There are various canals in Bender Cove. When unspecified the person is probably referring to the East Canal.

Cannery Row: A string of food preparation industrial sites in Bender Cove.

Capitol: The capital city of the unified Sime Territory.

Capitol University: A university located in Capitol.

Carfwim Farms: A farm south of Bender Cove, which specializes in exotic animals. Owned by Swanman.

Carre, Householding: A Householding in Gulf Territory.

Central Stadium: A sports arena in Eastcove, used also for large concert events.

Chanel, Householding: A Householding closely allied with Zeor.

Chestnut Street: A residential street in Eastcove. The location of Rudy's parents' home.

Children's Community Center: See Eastcove Children's.

Cooper's Creek: Eliza's hometown.

Couver Isles: Islands off the coast of Norwest Territory, probably near present-day Vancouver.

Clear Springs: A town in Gen Territory. From the fan fiction of Mary Lou Mendum.

Dar, Householding: A Householding reknowned for its members' martial arts abilities.

Dermott Elementary School: The school in Eastcove where Linn taught history.

Dig's Road: A road, probably some ways out of town.

Dockside: A very bad neighborhood situated along the docks of the bay.

Dove Street: A street in Bender Cove, upon which (among other things) there is a homeless shelter.

East Canal: A large commercial canal, and the point where the major fire was stopped.

Eastcove: A small town located immediately east of Bender Cove on the same bay. Eastcove is in Gen Territory. Its population is somewhere between 40 and 50 thousand. Economically it is more or less an appendage of Bender Cove.

Eastcove Children's Community Center: A school opened by Veraik in Eastcove, to teach the changeover and other Sime-related classes not possible in the public school system.

Eastcove General Hospital: Located close to the border, a Gen Territory hospital with which Wise Snake has an arrangement to diagnose and process changeover victims.

Eastcove High School: A high school in Eastcove.

Eastern Promenade: Despite its glamorous name, this is described as "a yukky, cracked, weedy road fronting on some abandoned wharves".

Eastfield: Noplace. A mistaken version of Eastcove's name spoken by Anis Yallon.

Farfall: Jon Drake's home town, somewhere in Gen Territory, presumably relatively close to Eastcove and Bender Cove.

Fast Eddie's: A nightclub frequented by renSimes interested in direct Gen transfer, and those Gens interested in taking the risk. Very young Gens such as Bess tend to get in trouble here.

Ferry Building: An abandoned public transit building in Bender Cove which Wise Snake has an eye to buy as a home for the Householding she hopes to found. It is a  3 story, ornate stone edifice of Gen Territory design and evidently of some historical interest. Currently Wise Snake and Nick are living there.

Financial District: A well-to-do commercial area of Bender Cove.

Finigers Frames: A picture framing shop located near the red light district.

Fiona's: A charm school operated by (of course) Fiona.

F'jord: The Householding to which Sumulo is pledged. Its Sectuib is Enry.

F'jord Motor Corporation: A manufacturer of automobiles connected with Householding F'jord. Evidently the automobiles are still in development, too expensive for any but the fabulously wealthy to own, or are marketed only in other areas of Sime Territory, for no automobiles of any kind are seen in Bender Cove.

Friend Sheep Inn: A disreputable-sounding inn.

Frihill, Householding: A Householding specializing in the recovery of Ancient artifacts and knowledge.

Garden District: A beautiful residential area of trees and large mansions, in the nice part of Bender Cove.

Gardenia Court: A street in an affluent portion of Bender Cove.

Gen Territory: A large nation consisting entirely of Gens. Independent of, though at peace with, the Tecton. Its capital is New Washington. Eastcove is located in Gen Territory.

General Dermott Memorial Elementary School: SeeDermott Elementary School

Greater Lake: A massive, ocean-sized freshwater lake in the middle of the Northern Continent.

Gulf Territory: This was one of several Sime Territories that existed before they were all unified under the control of the Tecton. Now refers simply to the area of land that used to be the Gulf Territory. This is official Sime/Gen background established in the published novels.

Halim's Glen: A town in Gen Territory. Alice's hometown.

Hamish: A town in Gen Territory located near Narstown. Lowren and Nally's hometown.

Hammer & Naismith Building, The: A large warehouse on Punt Street that burned in the large fire. No longer safe for occupancy, as various characters find out in more than one episode.

Harbor District: Described as being near shopping and nowhere near Dockside and the Ferry Building, this is probably a trendy area of yacht harbors and the like, somewhere Uptown.

Harcort Construction Supplies: Anna Inarm's employer.

Head Street: A street in Bender Cove, presumably close to the waterfront.

Hire a Nag: A livery stable in uptown Bender Cove, which is much more reputable than it sounds.

Historical Center of Bender Cove: Evidently a building connected with the Historical Society there.

Holdinghouse: A "house of terminally ill repute" Alea found Garon in front of once; possibly Garon's own establishment.

Hond Motors: A manufacturer of motors evidently located in or around Bender Cove. Yota Hond is apparently well placed in it.

Hospital: See Eastcove General Hospital

Hoyts, The: A hotel in Bender Cove.

Hulk Harbor: See Bock Harbor

Ice Palace, The: Evidently a public place in Bender Cove.

Imil: A Householding from the published novels. Mentioned occasionally in play.

Invor, Householding: A Householding reputedly near Bender Cove.

Keon, Householding: A Householding in Gulf Territory.

Kite Street: A street in Bender Cove.

Lacona: A town in Norwest Territory, through which Alea has travelled at least once.

Laiy's Hotel: A very fancy hotel in Uptown Bender Cove.

Laveen: A town in Gulf Territory.

Leather and Lace: A leather shop in the red light district.

Liorie, Householding: The Householding Veraik is pledged to.

Little Brick Shiltpron House: A shiltpron parlor in Bender Cove.

Lotta's Whorehouse: A brothel which Wise Snake has some business dealings with. The proprietor is, of course, Lotta.

Lotta's Whorehouse II: The new Lotta's which came into being after the large fire which destroyed much of the Porno District. (Lotta is still the owner.)

Low Point: A location along a certain (unspecified) river in or near Bender Cove. This point being the narrowest part of the river, but evidently unbridged.

Lower Garden: A district once considered part of the posh Garden District, but now in decline. The nameless neighborhood Wise Snake, Linn and Nick inhabit borders on this.

Lower Market: A declining area of somewhat commercial aspect. The Sime Center in our story is located near the worse edge of this neighborhood.

Matreeness: Bender Cove's nearest neighbor in Sime Territory.

Merchant's Quarter: The old name for what is usually now referred to as Lower Market.

Minnow: A fishing boat owned by Fishman.

Naros, Householding: Located in the southeastern extreme of the former Norwest Territory, this householding has colors of gold and silver and itsmotto is "Do Unto Others". Borrowed from the unfinished fan fiction of Kaas Baichtal, with permission.

Narstown: A small Gen Territory town located near Hamish.

Nate's Rest: A town in Gen Territory.

New Washington: The capital of Gen Territory. Also apparently the name of a large section of Gen Territory including Eastcove.

Nivet Territory: This was one of several Sime Territories that existed before they were all unified under the control of the Tecton. Now refers simply to the area of land that used to be the Nivet Territory. This is official Sime/Gen background established in the published novels.

North Nivet University: A university located in northern Nivet Territory.

Norwest Territory: This was one of several Sime Territories that existed before they were all unified under the control of the Tecton. Now refers simply to the area of land that used to be the Norwest Territory. This is official Sime/Gen background established in the published novels.

Ola's House: Located on Plum Street off Vine, this small house is owned by Ola and  is currently also inhabited by Rudy. Alice and Bess had also lived there at different times.

Oma: A town in Norwest Territory, through which Alea has travelled at least once.

Orchard Street: The nearest major street to Snake's house.

Outer Dockside: The parts of Dockside that border the other neighborhoods; the parts of Dockside removed by several blocks from the piers.

Peach Street: A street in the crummy residential neighborhood that Wise Snake lives in.

Peeker's Bluff: A town.

Peerage Street: A street in the nice bit of Bender Cove.

Peerage Street Diner, The: Evidently a good place to get chocolate ice cream.

Pine Street: A street in Bender Cove. Crosses Walnut.

Plum Street: A street in the scummy residential neighborhood that Wise Snake lives in. Ola's house is on Plum street about a block from Snake's.

Porno District: A very bad area crammed with many various establishments of ill repute.

Post Office: A brothel. Wise Snake sometimes serves transfers there. Voluptua is the greeter.

Post Parade: A live nude dance club, and brothel, next door to the Post Office.

Posthole Islands: Some islands in the Greater Lake, probably near the present-day Apostle Islands.

Pretty Mary: A cargo ship with its own regular slip in the Bender Cove harbor. Its first mate is MaryMate, and its cook is c00kie.

Punt Street: A street in the warehouse district, near the docks. Also considered to be in Dockside.

Red Light District: See Porno District

Rendery, The: Aplace Wise Snake goes to get healing work.

Restown: A town.

Retreat, The: A place run by the Tecton, presumably some sort of rehabilitation camp. Referred to rather ominously by Veraik when suggesting Wise Snake straighten up and fly right.

Rialite: A famous school for channels. An established piece of background from the published novels.

Rior, Householding: A Householding from the published novels which is mentioned in our story mostly when its official color of bright orange is used as a descriptive for various eye-popping shades.

R'Lea, Householding: The Householding Aleiaa was supposedly pledged to, while at the Sime Center under a false identity. Also, the householding Briel is pledged to.

Rymal, Householding: A Householding.

Shaeldor, Householding: A Householding.

Shay Hotel: A scummy, but reasonably safe, hotel, the managers of which Wise Snake has under her thumb. The place Lowren stayed in when he first arrived in Bender Cove.

Silver Ball, The: A cafe in the porno district.

Sime Center: When unspecified, usually refers to the Center our story revolves around, which is a newer Center originally located in the Warehouse District and now located in the Lower Market.

Sime Center, Uptown: An older, larger Sime Center located Uptown and serving the medium and affluent sections of Bender Cove's society. Veraik started the Sime Center of our story because the people in the lower city were not being adequately served by the Uptown Center.

Sime Centers, Other: It has not been specified whether there are other Sime Centers in Bender Cove or not. Considering the size of the two already known, any others are probably very small, with limited services.

Sime Territory: This is what used to be the various Sime Territories, now united under the rule of the Tecton. Both Simes and Gens live there. Bender Cove is located there.

Sippin Susans: A lesbian cafe. Wise Snake has no connections there but has been known to use it as a neutral ground for meetings. It is located in an artsy neighborhood of lofts on the edge of the Warehouse District.

Skug Diner: One of the less offensive eateries available in the Dockside district.

Skummie's: An establishment Loylic favors for its rat-and-pork sausages. Presumable either in Eastcove or near the Border.

Snake's House: At one point Wise Snake, Linn and Nick all lived together in a rented unit of a rowhouse on Vine between Peach and Plum. Now inhabited solely by Linn.

Southern Continent: What in Ancient times was known as South America. Mentioned occasionally in play. At this time the Tecton is experimenting with expanding onto it.

Spring Falls: A town located reasonably  near Bender Cove.

Stickies: A sleazy bar owned by Sticky. The tattoo parlor BugLumps operates out of is located in the back room of it.

Stinky's: A cafe located on the boundary between the Porno and Warehouse districts.

Sunshine Upholstery: An upholstery shop. Hired by Alea to reupholster the Sime Center's lobby furniture, at one point.

Sweet William's Nightclub: The original Sime Center in the story was installed in a building previously inhabited by this establishment. (Prior to that it was a whorehouse.)

Taglar: A Householding.

Tarvish Enclave: A Distect community in Torvaldland.

Talt Frompage Memorial Secondary School: A high school in Bender Cove. It is run by Principal Foffard.

Tien, Householding: A Householding specializing in the cultural indoctrination of Out-Territory people. Tien teaches Out-Territory people the language and culture of In-Territory life-styles. (There is also a small program which teaches In-Territory people Out-Territory language and culture.) The House also has a strong Engineering program which specializes in selyn conductivity. (ie. Electrical Engineering) The Engineering program is a strong incentive for Gens in Out-Territory to study In-Territory.

Torvaldland: A town in Sime Territory about 3 days' ride from Bender Cove. It has been mentioned that there is a concentration of persons living the Distect lifestyle there.

Tripp's Road: A road leading out of the city of Bender Cove, in a southwesterly direction.

Uptown Bender Cove: Rather than a specific neighborhood, this refers to the more affluent end of town, including, among others, the Financial and Garden districts.

Uptown Sime Center: See Sime Center, Uptown

Valkor Auxiliary Sime Center: The name of the Sime Center where Tarsh changed over. Its location has not been mentioned.

Vargas Parlour: A shiltpron parlor.

Vern's: A store in Eastcove.

Vine: A street in thecrummy residential neighborhood that Wise Snake lives in.

V'Lar, Householding: The House to which B'cal and D'cor are pledged.

Von Street: Astreet in the Outer Dockside area.

Walnut Street: A street in Bender Cove.

Warehouse District: A part of Bender Cove consisting largely of huge warehouses. Many buildings were damaged in a large fire in one of the earlier episodes. This area is seedy by day, dangerous by night.

Warrn Street: A street in the Outer Dockside area.

Westcove: Possibly a town west of Bender Cove.

Western Swell Saloon: A funny sort of bar that existed over in Dockside before the big fire that destroyed several buildings in that area. Wise Snake had a business relationship with them.

Zelerod Memorial Institute: Evidently an institute of research and/or higher learning. Not located in Bender Cove.

Zeor, Householding: This is a powerful and influential householding reputed to produce the best channels and Donors anywhere. The home base for many Farrises and a well-established piece of Sime/Gen background which has appeared in the published novels many times. The Zeor portrayed in this game is definitely of the alternate-universe variety.

Zo: A far off land, perhaps mythical.
