Subject: Taking a Channel to Lunch

It's a waste of time and money taking a channel to a smogasboard lunch!

Day after transfer I thought it would be nice to take Zoe out to lunch at a place called "Valentines" which is a very nice chain of smogasboard buffet style resturants. (Anyone in Australian who hasn't yet tried them - put it on your "list of places to eat") 126 different dishes! Most of which are totally wasted on Simes. No appreaciation of good food!

By the time I was 3/4 of the way through my first plate (squid, with extra tenticles, oysters, muscles, prawns and other squiggling delights) Zoe had just started on her lettuce. She also had tomarto and cheese - very adventurous I'm sure.

I patiently waited the 1/2 hour it took her to finish this first course, after which she said "do you mind waiting for that to go down before we get any more?" *sigh*

I then had roast pork, roast lamb, oysters killpatrick, muscles in fish sauce, and baked ham. Zoe had honeyed carrots and mined peas - errr, yeah that was it. This time I was ready and really stacked up the plate, as well as trying very hard to eat ... at ... sime .... pace. *sigh*

Zoe then had to visit the little simes room (the outhouse) so I ran off and quickly grabbed some cheese and crackers to keep me going.

When she returned I convienced her that she just had to try some of the deserts. I had a brandy snap, a slice of pavolva, a cream puff, a ginger slice and a slice of cheese cake. Zoe had a small bowl of chocolate pudding and a jelly bean. *sigh*

THEN she had the hide to tell me that it was MY fault she ate too much!!!!

*SIGH*

Considering eating alone (geee Zoe said the same thing, I think the tenticles on the squid got to her)
