![]() Sick Farris's and CatsToday was a very busy day, with a lot of third level augmentation, several 1st level outfunctions and many many edge of the seat treatments, and now Zoe is in bed with a headache. I went to bed too, concentrating on settling her and soothing her off to sleep. I had just got her under when Diamunda (cat) entered the room. The first I knew of it was when the rattling of plastic woke Zoe up. Diamunda had got into the wardrobe and was settling herself on a plastic bag full of winter clothing. No she wasn't! I got up, got her out of the wardrobe and shut the wardrobe door firmly. Then I went and settled Zoe again. Diamunda entered the room once again, this time making her presence known by jumping up on the bed side table and attempting to move the blinds out of the way so she could sit on the window sill. As the blinds are a fixture she CAN'T do that and she knows she can't - she was just trying (and succeeding) to be annoying. Once again I chased her out and settled Zoe back to sleep. Next Diamunda decided she wanted to read. She came into the bedroom and jumped up onto one of the book shelves and proceeded to push books onto the floor. "Right! That's it!" I said as I made a grab for her. Diamunda ran into the lounge and hid under the table. I bent down to grab her and she slid under the coffee table, which has two long solid legs making a little tunnel the length of the table. As I put my hand in one end, she would scoot out the other end. I put one hand across one end, and reached around the other end and grabbed her by the scruff of the neck. Any other cat would have said "oh alright, you have me, I'll go peacefully", but not Diamunda Scratchy Cat from Hell! Suddenly I was hold a howling, screaming, bundle of steak knives. Zoe came out of the bedroom, very unamused, to see what I was doing to her cat! "Quick!" I gasped as more skin left my hand "Open the door!". Zoe caught on and opened the door and I let go of Diamunda, fully expecting that she would be annoyed enough to want the peace and solitude of outside, where people didn't interrupt her nightly wanderings. Wrong again. Do something our way? Was I stupid? After running around the office madly a few times, ignoring the fact that the door stood open and that she had actually ran past it, Diamunda jumped up on the window sill and jumped out. I put Zoe back to bed, went and washed my poor bleeding hand and tried to go back to sleep myself. After a few moments the bedside light goes on. "Eliza, you know what a day I have had, and that I have a headache! I would think that you would have more consideration for me then coming to bed with such a throbbing hand! Please, go sleep in the lounge room." Damn Channels!
